Ultimate Farm Fun Pass (Saturdays and Sundays only) $24.99 regular, $29.99 at the gate, $13.50 online on flash sale. Under 2 free. In 2025 pumpkins were $0.69/lb for regular and $0.89/lb for specialty; 2026 pumpkin pricing had not been posted.

Rough cost for a family of four: about $43.96 in admission alone at the posted starting rate, before pumpkins, food, parking or any add-on listed above. Most families end up well north of that once they are through the gate.

Our take

The pricing here does more work than the attraction list, so start there.

The gate is the expensive door

Three prices exist for the same General pass: $24.99 at the gate, $19.99 as the standard online rate, and $10.99 during the advertised online flash sale. For two adults and two children that is $99.96, $79.96, or $43.96 for an identical day. The spread between the worst and best case is $56 — more than the cost of the entire visit at the good end.

Nothing about the farm changes across those three numbers. The only variable is when and where you bought. If you take one thing from this page: open the website before you get in the car, and check whether a flash sale is running.

The Ultimate pass behaves the same way — $29.99 gate, $24.99 regular, $13.50 flash sale — and is sold only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Which tier you actually need

The General pass is not a stripped-back option. It covers the 8-acre corn maze, hayrides out to the pumpkin patch, pick-your-own pumpkins, pig races, rubber duck races, barrel and wagon train rides, the animal corral, hay mazes and slides, the bubble station, sand mountain and the whole Fun Zone with its fire truck slide, playhouses and combine jungle gym. That is a full day for most families with young children.

Ultimate adds four things: the inflatable zone, a paintball target shoot, corn cannons and the pedal kart track. Those skew older. A household with a five-year-old and an eight-year-old will almost certainly get more from spending the $5 difference on food. A household with two ten-year-olds who want the paintball and the cannons should buy Ultimate up front rather than discovering the fence at the inflatables.

Then add the pumpkins

Admission does not include fruit. In 2025 pumpkins ran $0.69 a pound for regular and $0.89 for specialty, with 2026 rates not posted at the time of writing. Four decent carvers realistically adds $20 to $30 to whichever admission figure applies. A realistic all-in weekend total for a family of four buying online at the standard rate, with pumpkins and lunch, sits around $120 to $140.

The September promotions are worth planning around

Three opening weekends carry free-admission promotions by group: public service employees September 12-13, grandparents September 19-20, and scouts and troop leaders September 26-27. If you or a member of your party qualifies, that is a substantial saving and it lands at the front of the season when central Virginia weekends are still warm and the crowd is thinner than October’s.

What is genuinely unresolved

The farm has not published a 2026 closing date, and its Events page still shows 2023. The weekday and weekend hours on this page come from a third-party directory, not the operator. The farm itself points visitors at Facebook and Instagram for week-by-week hours, which tells you the schedule flexes and that no static source will be reliable in late October.

Practically: if you are going in September or early October, the risk is low. If you are planning the last weekend before Halloween, check social media within a day or two of travelling, because that is the only place the current schedule reportedly lives.

Central Virginia timing

Moseley is Piedmont Chesterfield, warmer and later into fall than the Valley. A mid-September opening weekend in an open field is a summer afternoon with a fall theme — sun cover matters more than a jacket. That flips by late October. And after the storm systems that reach central Virginia through the back half of hurricane season, farm field parking here holds water like everywhere else in the state.

Planning your visit

Best time to go

The season launches September 12, 2026. The farm does not publish a closing date — its Events page still lists 2023 dates — so the end of the season is genuinely unknown. A third-party 2026 listing gives weekdays 2:00pm to 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am to 5:30pm, with daily operation from mid-October. The opening weekends carry free-admission promotions by group: public service employees September 12-13, grandparents September 19-20, scouts and troop leaders September 26-27. If you fit one of those categories, that is the date to take. Otherwise a weekend morning is the only way to get the full offering with time to use it, since the weekday window is barely three and a half hours.

How long to budget

Three to four hours on a weekend, and more if you have the Ultimate pass. An 8-acre corn maze plus a hayride out to the patch plus a Fun Zone this size is not a short visit, and at $19.99 to $29.99 a head a short visit is bad value.

Crowds

Chesterfield County is Richmond's largest suburban county and this is one of its best-known fall operations. October weekends will be busy, and the daily operation that reportedly starts mid-October spreads demand only slightly. The farm directs visitors to its Facebook and Instagram for week-by-week hours, which is a sign the schedule moves.

Parking

Not published. Assume field parking on grass at a farm of this size, and soft ground after the late-season storms that reach central Virginia.

Strollers and accessibility

Not published. Hayrides, an 8-acre maze, hay slides and a sand play area all involve uneven surfaces and climbing. Call 804-441-1034 ahead if this is a factor.

What to bring

  • Tickets bought online rather than at the gate
  • Closed shoes for the maze, the hay slides and the corn play area
  • A change of clothes for anyone using the sand mountain and shelled corn area
  • Sun cover — central Virginia in mid-September is still summer in an open field
  • A way to carry pumpkins, which are priced by the pound on top of admission

How to spend less here

  • Buy online, always. The General pass is $24.99 at the gate, $19.99 regular online and $10.99 on the advertised flash sale. That is a $14 per-person swing, or $56 for a family of four
  • The Ultimate pass follows the same pattern: $29.99 at the gate, $24.99 regular, $13.50 on flash sale — and it is weekend-only
  • Time your visit to an opening-weekend promotion if you qualify. Public service September 12-13, grandparents September 19-20, scouts and troop leaders September 26-27
  • Decide between General and Ultimate before you arrive. The General pass already covers the corn maze, hayride, pig races and the whole Fun Zone; Ultimate adds inflatables, paintball target shooting, corn cannons and pedal karts
  • Budget for pumpkins separately. In 2025 they were $0.69 a pound regular and $0.89 specialty; 2026 pricing had not been posted

Who it suits

Good for

  • Families with children roughly 3 to 12, who are the target for the fire truck slide, playhouses, combine jungle gym, sand mountain, bubble station and hay slides
  • Corn maze walkers — 8 acres, cut in 2026 to a USA 250th Anniversary theme
  • Weekend visitors specifically, since the Ultimate pass and its inflatables, paintball target shoot, corn cannons and pedal karts are Saturday and Sunday only
  • Bargain hunters willing to watch for the online flash sale, which is where the price genuinely collapses
  • Public service employees, grandparents and scouts, each of whom has a free-admission weekend in September

Skip it if

You turn up and pay at the gate. That is the most expensive way to visit this farm by a wide margin, and it is entirely avoidable. Skip a weekday visit if the full experience is the point — the third-party hours put weekdays at 2:00pm to 5:30pm, which is not enough for an 8-acre maze plus everything else.
