Beyond mazes and pumpkins, the farm offers a playland, barrel train rides, hayrides, and petting zoo. That breadth means you can easily spend 3–4 hours without repeating activities. The farm operates only weekends (Sept 23–Oct 30), so plan accordingly.

Because Crawford Farms runs only weekends, all demand concentrates Fri–Sun. The farm opens Sept 23 (later than some competitors), so early-September early adopters need to look elsewhere.

Saturday morning (10 a.m.–1 p.m.): Peak family hours; expect crowded parking and full mazes. Arrive right at 10 a.m. opening or wait until 3 p.m. for a quieter experience.

Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.–6 p.m.): Moderately busy; the early-morning crowd has cycled through, but late-afternoon families are arriving.

Special Note: Late-September to Early-October

The farm doesn’t open until Sept 23, making it later than some competitors. If you want September pumpkins, you’ll need to visit other farms. For October outings, Crawford Farms is a strong option through October 30.

The farm is near downtown Elizabethtown in Hardin County, roughly 30 minutes south of Louisville. Parking is on farm ground (unpaved lot); arrive early on weekend mornings for convenient parking.

Fort Knox military museum, bourbon distilleries on the nearby trail, and downtown Elizabethtown dining are all 15–30 minutes away, making Crawford Farms a natural pairing with a larger fall day trip.
