Griffin Farms is an October proposition. Founded in 2013 by Barry Griffin and his son Brandon on land that operated as a dairy farm for decades, the property now runs a pure seasonal pumpkin patch and festival. You either visit in October or you miss it entirely.
That limited season is partly an advantage: the farm does not dilute attention across nine or ten months of operation, so October is focused and fresh. October weather in central Alabama is also genuinely pleasant — warm enough for activity but cool enough for comfort, especially compared to the heat and humidity of late September at farms further south.
