This is the fall corn-maze operation known regionally as Amazing Fall Fun, run by North Folk Farms near Waterloo, about half an hour north of Fort Wayne. Two things make it unusual in Indiana, and both are about the calendar rather than the attractions.
August 28. Most Indiana fall farms do not open until the third or fourth week of September, and several in the Indianapolis region do not start until the last weekend of the month. An August opening means the maze is walkable while the rest of the state is still selling sweetcorn.
That is genuinely useful if you want a fall outing without the fall crowd, and it comes with a trade-off worth naming: late August and early September in northeast Indiana are still summer. A corn maze in eighty-degree heat with no shade is a hot walk, and the atmospheric part of the season - cool air, low light, actual autumn - does not arrive for another month. Come early for the quiet, not for the mood.
Thursday and Friday do not open until 5pm. Friday and Saturday run to 10pm. Only Saturday and Sunday give you daylight hours at all, and Sunday closes at 6pm.
That structure tells you what this place is for. A 10pm close is a serious commitment to the night maze, and northeast Indiana does not have many of those. In early September, 10pm gives you roughly two hours of proper dark. By mid-October it is closer to four, because sunset here moves back by more than ninety minutes across the season. The same posted hours describe a completely different experience in August and in October.
Dress for the later one. Layers rather than a jacket, and a torch that is not your phone, because a phone that dies in the middle of a maze is a slow walk out.
There is no published closing date. The farm gives an opening day and a weekly schedule and stops there. Given that northern Indiana takes its first hard frost earlier than the rest of the state, and frost is what ends a corn maze, the practical assumption is that the season winds up around the end of October - but that is inference, not information. If you are planning a late-October visit, check first.

From Fort Wayne it is about half an hour north, which is a reasonable evening drive and an unreasonable one if the maze is the only thing on your list and the weather turns. From anywhere further south, this is a specific destination rather than a convenient stop, and the short attraction list means it needs to be the night maze specifically that draws you. If it is, the 10pm Friday and Saturday closes are the best thing about it.

A four-day week across a long season spreads people out, and a Thursday evening is likely to be the quietest thing available. Saturday, running noon to 10pm, is both the longest day and the busiest. The 2026 maze is cut as a Spider-Man design, which is the kind of detail that draws families rather than repels them, so expect the early-October Saturdays to be the peak.
Not published. A County Road 43 farm in DeKalb County will have grass or gravel parking, and northeast Indiana gets wet through October - assume soft ground after rain.
You need a daytime visit on a weekday. Thursday and Friday do not open until 5pm. Skip it too if you want a broad attraction list - this is a maze and a patch, not a festival with rides, and the record gives no reason to expect otherwise.
No price is published on the farm's own website. The pricing and tickets pages returned errors when we checked in August 2026, and sales route to SimpleTix, so the booking flow is the only place to see a figure. We have not guessed one.
