Our take

We normally use this space to tell you whether a farm is worth your money. Here the more useful thing is to tell you what we could not establish.

Ottawa Farms is a real, operating business in Bloomingdale, a few minutes west of Savannah, and it has a long history as a fall destination — regional roundups still name it and still credit it with more than twenty attractions. But its own fall page was, when we read it in August 2026, still displaying October 2023 dates and a $10 admission price, and the homepage was promoting the spring strawberry festival rather than anything autumn. A separate directory carries an older note that the farm skipped fall activities in at least one recent year.

None of that proves the 2026 season is cancelled. Out-of-date websites are common at small farms, and the strawberry festival is plainly the bigger event in this farm’s year. What it does mean is that we have no dates, no hours and no price we are willing to print.

If you go anyway

The attraction list from the last documented season is genuinely good: a 10-acre corn maze — larger than almost anything else in coastal Georgia — plus a pumpkin patch, a mini hay maze, cow train rides, pig races, duck races, a corn crib, inflatables, a corn cannon, bonfires, a picnic area and a general store. That is a full afternoon if it is all running.

Make the phone call. Ask three things: whether the fall season is happening, what days and hours, and what it costs. Ten minutes on the phone beats a drive out of Savannah to a closed gate.

Planning your visit

Best time to go

We cannot answer this honestly. No 2026 fall dates, hours or prices have been published. The farm's own fall page was still showing an October 2023 schedule when we read it in August 2026, and the homepage was promoting its spring strawberry festival instead. The business is open and operating; the fall season specifically is unconfirmed. Phone 912-748-3035 before making any plan around it.

Parking

Not documented. Assume a grass field, as at most farms of this type, and assume soft ground for a few days after the heavy rain coastal Georgia gets through September.

Who it suits

Good for

  • Savannah-area families, if the fall season is running — Bloomingdale is a short drive west of the city
  • Anyone who wants a large maze; the listed corn maze is 10 acres, which is bigger than most in coastal Georgia
  • Groups who like the bonfire-and-picnic side of a farm visit rather than a ride-heavy festival

Skip it if

You need certainty. This is the one listing on our Georgia map where we would not commit a Saturday without a phone call first.
