Most fall farms in Ohio publish an attraction list, a price and a set of hours, and say nothing whatsoever about whether a wheelchair or a pushchair can get round the site. Ramseyer inverts that. It states plainly that the farm is wheelchair and stroller friendly, and then declines to publish hours, prices or a phone number.
If accessibility is the thing that decides where your family goes, that trade is worth taking. A working farm that has thought about firm ground and route width is genuinely hard to find in this region, and the alternative is usually turning up and hoping. It is the farm’s own claim rather than something we have checked on the ground, but a farm that puts it in writing has at least been asked the question and answered it.

Beyond that, a few things are safe. A fifty-attraction farm with a pedal cart track, a corn maze, hayrides, a goat walk and cow milking is a half-day, not an hour. Wednesdays and Thursdays will be quieter than Saturdays by a wide margin. And whatever the closing time turns out to be, it will feel much later in the last week of October than in the first week of September — northern daylight collapses across that stretch, and a farm that felt bright and warm on a September Wednesday is dim and cold at the same hour six weeks later.
The goat walk and the cow milking are the distinctive items on this list and the reason to pick Ramseyer over a farm with a bigger slide. Children who like animals get considerably more here than at an operation built around inflatables. Children who do not will be fine at the pedal carts.

Within that, midweek is the value play — a Wednesday or Thursday at a farm advertising more than fifty attractions is a very different experience from an October Saturday in Wayne County. What we cannot tell you is what time it opens, because the farm does not say.

Wooster sits between Akron, Canton and Cleveland's southern reach, and a five-day week across two months spreads that demand reasonably well. October Saturdays are still the peak. If the maze theme draws attention — the 2026 design marks the Winnie-the-Pooh centenary — expect the family audience to be larger than usual on weekends.

Nickajack Farms in North Lawrence is about 16 miles northeast and runs a flat all-inclusive ticket, which is the natural comparison if predictable pricing matters more to you than accessibility. Beriswill Farms in Valley City is roughly 30 miles north and a much smaller, toddler-scale operation.
