Fink’s has the right shape for a Long Island fall day: on-the-vine pumpkin picking, a corn maze, hayrides, barnyard animals, a jump pillow, a human hamster wheel, a combine slide, a mega slide, an apple cannon, a farm stand and live music. That is a full afternoon and it is aimed squarely at primary-school children.
What we cannot tell you is what any of it costs this autumn, and it is worth being explicit about why. When we read the farm’s site in August, the pricing and hours on display were for its Melon Fest — the summer event — and the fall festival had no dates and no prices posted at all. Repeating the melon numbers as though they were the fall ones would be the easiest mistake to make and the least useful thing we could do. Fall pricing at Long Island farms is typically higher than summer pricing, because October is when demand peaks.
What does look transferable is the structure. A per-person gate that includes most attractions, a discounted rate for military, law enforcement and fire service members and for season pass holders, and at least one attraction — the mega slide — sold as a paid add-on. If that pattern holds into the fall, the questions to ask on the phone are simple: what is the gate, does the service discount still apply, and what sits outside the ticket.
Two more practical notes. The on-the-vine picking is a real differentiator and worth confirming separately from the festival, because pumpkin fields usually open later in the season than the festival does — turning up in mid-September to a stacked display when you came to walk the rows is a common disappointment. And there is an address wrinkle: the farm lists itself in Manorville while some guides put the same street number in Wading River. They are neighbouring hamlets on the same road, so it is unlikely to strand you, but use the farm’s own address.
Weekends and holidays, with the hours we found running 9:30am-5:30pm and last admission at 4:30pm — although those were the summer festival's hours. The fall festival had no published dates or times when we checked. Assume an early arrival is the right call regardless: Long Island farm traffic on an October Saturday is its own event.
